WEAPON DUELS House Map Guide
H1 Front to H5 Back: lane callouts, ability timing, and rotation rules for the tightest duel map.
Why House deserves its own page
The House arena in WEAPON DUELS by Twin Comets is the second core map after Aztec and the most-played map in 1v1 and 2v2 pads. It is also the map that punishes aim-only players the most: House interiors are tight, the sightlines break through windows and doors, and the ladders near the upper floor reset every team-fight rotation. This page documents the callouts, the lane-by-lane win conditions, and the rotations that the top pads actually use - all scoped to place 82983707799188.
If you learned House from MVSD clips or from Knife VS Gun Duels, reset your mental model. House in WEAPON DUELS has a different ladder placement, a different spawn layout, and the duel-pad format means round roles can flip between Sheriff and Murderer depending on the lobby.
House map overview
House is a two-floor arena with a central staircase, two side rooms, and an outdoor porch. The lanes break into five callouts that every team uses in ranked 4v4:
| Callout | Location | Lane type | Best role |
|---|---|---|---|
| H1 Front | Outdoor porch, front door | Long sightline | Sniper / Revolver |
| H2 Mid | Central staircase + ground hall | Mid range, vertical trades | Tactical Rifle / Dash |
| H3 Side | Side rooms (east and west) | Tight corridors | Knife / Shroud |
| H4 Upper | Upper floor windows + ladder | Vertical sightline | Sniper (high ground) |
| H5 Back | Rear door / back porch | Flank route | Knife / Sprint |
The map is symmetrical, but spawns can flip sides depending on the lobby. Read the team colors before locking in your rotation.
H1 Front - the sniper lane
H1 Front is the outdoor porch that runs the entire front of the building. The sightline is clean for the first 5 seconds, then breaks as soon as the opponent ducks behind the porch pillar. This is where the Sniper and Revolver earn their cost.
- Win condition: Hold the porch pillar cover. Peek only when you see an enemy commit to a different lane.
- Punish pattern: Punish opponents who peek H1 from the same angle twice. After one peek, the enemy knows your line of sight.
- Common loss: Standing in the open porch waiting for a headshot. Always reload behind the pillar.
- Counter-pick: Knife Builds flanks through H5 Back while your team anchors H1.
Crosshair tuning for H1 is on the Crosshairs page - long sightlines favor a thin reticle with high contrast.
H2 Mid - the staircase choke
H2 Mid is the central staircase connecting the ground floor and the upper floor. It is the highest-traffic area in 4v4 lobbies because every rotation has to cross it. The vertical trades here are what make House different from Aztec.
- Win condition: Hold the staircase from the upper floor with a Tactical Rifle. You get a free peek before the opponent can aim up.
- Punish pattern: If the opponent commits to the staircase, throw a knife from above. Knives thrown downward have a longer effective range.
- Common loss: Standing at the bottom of the staircase looking up. The opponent already has the angle.
- Counter-pick: Use Shroud to break the angle, then Dash up the staircase.
The vertical trades in H2 are also why House is the best map to learn knife throw angles - the floor-to-floor geometry gives a clean training line.
H3 Side - the tight corridors
H3 Side is the two side rooms on the ground floor, one east and one west. They are knife-range territory - any gun play here is a panic-fire choice. Side rooms are where the Map Callouts shorthand becomes essential: a “H3 east, two players” call is the difference between winning a 2v2 trade and walking into a 3v1.
- Win condition: Get the first knife throw off. Whoever throws first in H3 usually wins the trade.
- Punish pattern: Fake the throw, step back, re-enter when the opponent commits to the swing.
- Common loss: Trying to ADS a gun inside the side room. There is no room. Switch to knife before you enter H3.
- Counter-pick: Sprint ability to escape a bad H3 trade before the opponent can finish.
Side rooms are also where ability echo matters most. If your team has one ability up and the enemy has none, push H3 - the math favors you.
H4 Upper - the high ground
H4 Upper is the upper floor with windows that overlook the front porch (H1) and the central staircase (H2). It is the highest-value position in House and the one that flips 4v4 rounds.
- Win condition: Hold the upper floor windows. You can see both the staircase and the front porch from H4.
- Punish pattern: Drop down to H2 Mid when an enemy commits to the staircase - the fall damage plus knife throw is a guaranteed trade.
- Common loss: Sitting on H4 too long. The opponent will eventually bring up a Sniper and shoot you through the window.
- Counter-pick: Switch to the Sniper yourself and shoot through the window first. Whoever shoots through the H4 window first usually wins.
If you are on the lower team, the fastest counter to a strong H4 player is a coordinated Shroud + Dash push from two angles. One player uses Shroud to break the angle; the other Dashes up the staircase.
H5 Back - the flank route
H5 Back is the rear door and back porch. It connects to the side rooms (H3) via the rear hallway. This is the knife-flank route that decides 4v4 rounds when the front of House is locked.
- Win condition: Circle through H5 when the front is locked. Most teams do not check the back porch in a 4v4 push.
- Punish pattern: Throw a knife from H5 into H3 if you hear a knife trade already in progress. The enemy is locked in the throw animation.
- Common loss: Flanking alone without a teammate in H1 or H2. A lone flank trades your life for a number disadvantage.
- Counter-pick: Sprint ability to cover the back porch quickly, then reset to your team.
The back porch is also the safest place to reload if your team is holding H1 and H2. Always reload out of line of sight.
House 1v1 playbook
In 1v1 pads, House becomes a five-lane duel where range and ability timing decide the round. The community-tested winning flow:
- Spawn and immediately check H1 Front. If the opponent spawned front, expect a long-range trade; if not, expect a knife commit.
- Bind Dash to a mouse button or keyboard key that is reachable from your knife hand. The H2 staircase is where Dash wins rounds.
- If the opponent takes H4 Upper, take H2 Mid and use the staircase as cover. Do not chase them up - that is the trap.
- End the round with a knife throw from above. Drop down to H2 with a throw pre-aimed at the staircase.
- Practice the same route ten times before ranked. Changing routes every round breaks your muscle memory.
For a deeper 1v1 read, see Knife vs Gun for the range-band math that applies to every House lane.
House 2v2 playbook
2v2 pads in House split into two roles: anchor and flank. The losing team usually has both players trying to anchor.
- Anchor: Hold H1 Front with a Revolver + Shroud. Do not rotate without a call from your partner.
- Flank: Take H3 Side or H5 Back with a Tactical Rifle + Dash. Push on callouts from the anchor.
- Common loss: Both players taking H2 Mid. The opponent will simply hold H4 Upper and shoot both of you from above.
The 2v2 math is the same as the Sheriff Loadout 2v2 playbook: one anchor, one flanker, no double-peek.
House 4v4 playbook
4v4 in House is the most chaotic pad format in the game. The team that wins is usually the one that sets crossfires without doubling up on the same callout.
- Spawn ramp - both teams spawn at opposite ends of H1. Do not commit until you see the enemy team.
- Front hold - one Sniper on H1 Front, one Tactical Rifle on H4 Upper looking down at H2.
- Mid pressure - one player on H2 Mid staircase, one player floating between H3 east and H5 Back.
- Late-round reset - if the round collapses, fall back to H4 Upper. The high ground resets the numbers advantage.
If your team cannot agree on the rotation, drop into Discord and use the in-game emote wheel before the pad locks. Random rotations lose rounds.
Matchup math by lane
| Lane | Knife win rate | Gun win rate | Best ability |
|---|---|---|---|
| H1 Front | 15% | 85% | Weapon Buff |
| H2 Mid | 45% | 55% | Dash |
| H3 Side | 75% | 25% | Shroud |
| H4 Upper | 30% | 70% | Weapon Buff |
| H5 Back | 65% | 35% | Sprint |
These numbers reflect the test logs from the Best Loadouts team. Re-test after every major patch on the Changelog page.
Common House mistakes
These five mistakes show up in most loss clips. Fix any one and your House win rate climbs.
- Doubling up on H1 Front. Two snipers on the same porch is one wasted role. Run one Sniper and one Tactical Rifle.
- Forgetting the H4 ladder. A player on the upper floor is worth two players on the ground floor. Always check the ladder.
- Reloading at the staircase. The staircase is line-of-sight from H1, H3, and H4. Reload behind cover.
- Ignoring the back porch. H5 Back is where lost rounds come from. Always check the rear before committing.
- Switching weapons mid-fight. Commit to your lane’s weapon. Switching inside H3 is a free kill for the opponent.

Pair House with the right guides
House is one of three core maps. To play the full map pool, read these in order:
- Aztec Map Guide - the outer-ring sniper meta.
- Map Callouts - the shorthand for every House lane.
- Map Guide - the cross-map lane comparison.
- Game Modes - how 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 change House rotations.
If you only have time to learn one map, learn House first. The tight corridors punish mistakes faster than Aztec, which means the muscle memory transfers to every other map.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What is the best lane in House for new players?
H2 Mid (the staircase). The vertical trade teaches knife-throw angles and range math in a small space. Pair it with H1 Front for long-sightline practice.
Where is the Sniper strongest on House?
H1 Front (the porch) and H4 Upper (the upper-floor windows). Both give long, clean sightlines. Avoid H3 Side - the Sniper cannot fire inside tight rooms.
How do I counter a player camping H4 Upper?
Run a coordinated Shroud + Dash push from two angles. One player breaks the angle with Shroud, the other Dashes up the staircase. Or take the Sniper yourself and shoot through the H4 window first.
Is House better for knives or guns?
Mixed. H3 Side and H5 Back favor knives (75% knife win rate). H1 Front and H4 Upper favor guns (85% gun win rate). H2 Mid is a coin flip that depends on ability echo.
What ability pairings work best on House?
Sniper lanes (H1, H4) pair with Weapon Buff. Knife lanes (H3, H5) pair with Shroud and Sprint. H2 Mid is best with Dash to read the staircase.
Does House have callouts different from MVSD House?
Yes. Place 82983707799188 uses the H1-H5 callouts listed on this page. Do not bring callouts from MVSD - the geometry differs and the callouts will mislead your team.
