The longer official description for WEAPON DUELS (still mirrored on some trackers as Duel Stars) lists custom crosshairs, team colors, and shrink sniper size next to 64 trade slots. Those settings are part of Twin Comets’ pad-duel client, not a different FPS. This page explains why they matter in 1v1 through 4v4, how they interact with mobile camera settings, and what to avoid when Season 2 Sea Serpent skins add heavy VFX.

Why crosshairs decide gun rounds
Knife fights are won on movement and E throws. Gun fights are won on whether your reticle sits at head height when a player strafes out of a doorway. A default Roblox dot that blends into Aztec stone will lose trades you should have hit.

- Small enough that it does not cover a distant head

Recommended setup order
- Finish getting started so you have Pew Pew or Dango Gun equipped.
- Open Settings. If a Crosshair or HUD row exists, start there.
- Pick a color that is not lime-on-grass or white-on-Aztec sandstone. Magenta, cyan, or black-outline dots survive more maps.
- If shrink sniper size is a slider, drop it until the gun no longer hides the person you are tracking.
- Set team colors so allies in 2v2–4v4 do not share the enemy outline. Friendly-fire confusion is a common 4v4 throw.
- Play five 1v1 pads. If you overshoot heads, lower mobile or mouse sensitivity before you blame the reticle.
Team colors in party pads
Team colors are a 4v4 tool. In 1v1 they barely matter. In 3v3 and 4v4, a teammate in the same neon as the enemy trail will get shot by their own gunner. Pick a squad color in lobby before you step on the pad. Call it once: “we are blue outlines.”
Sea Serpent pass skins add trails. If your team color plus a prismatic Monarch finisher paints the whole corridor, switch to a clean skin from the weapons tier list for ranked-feeling queues.
Crosshair versus VIP and 2X Coins
Trackers list two game passes: VIP and 2X Coins. 2X Coins is economy. VIP may bundle QoL (lobby perks, extra HUD options) — confirm the live store text. Do not buy a “laser sight” pass on Knife VS Gun Duels thinking it applies here. Store checklist is on the game passes tier list.
Custom crosshairs are advertised as a client feature. If they are locked behind VIP in your build, that is a store decision, not a skill gate. You can still win 1v1 with the default reticle if your controls are stable.
Map-specific notes
Aztec outer lanes — Bright sun. Dark crosshair with a light outline beats a yellow dot.
Aztec mid pad — Chaotic. Smaller reticle; you need to see who is on the pad.
House interiors — Dark wood. Avoid black-only dots. Add a bright center.
After the August 2026 client refresh, re-open Settings. HUD rows sometimes reset on teleport between matches (CoIdYeti has posted about respawn network spikes on the DevForum).
Practice drill (10 minutes)
- Two minutes in lobby: swap team color and confirm allies change.
- Four minutes 1v1 gun-only: pre-aim doorways before you peek (see combos peek → buff).
- Four minutes mixed: swap to knife at close range and confirm the reticle still appears after the swap.
