Getting Started with WEAPON DUELS

Your first-hour checklist for Twin Comets' pad-based duel game on Roblox.

Getting Started

Welcome to WEAPON DUELS — the Roblox PvP title from Twin Comets that many players still know as Duel Stars. If you searched “weapon duels guide” and landed here, you are in the right place: place ID 82983707799188, developer Twin Comets, and a combat loop built around duel pads, knives, guns, and abilities. This page is the fastest route from first spawn to your first win without mixing up codes, currencies, or entirely different games like Dueling Grounds.

Confirm you have the correct game

Roblox is full of similarly named duel experiences. WEAPON DUELS is not Dueling Grounds (the arena fighter from Wingboy0 and the Dueling Grounds group). It is also not Knife VS Gun Duels (Knife Gun Duels group) or generic “DUELS” clones. Before spending Robux or trading items, verify:

  • Creator group: Twin Comets (Twin Comets’ lead programmer and Twin Comets’ 3D artist)
  • Place ID: 82983707799188
  • Hub features: Stars shop, 64 trade slots, pad queues for 1v1–4v4

Getting this wrong is the most common day-one mistake — and the one this wiki is designed to prevent.

Pick a role before your first duel

WEAPON DUELS inherits the Murderers vs Sheriffs role split that appears in the live title. Before queuing for any pad, decide whether you prefer:

  • Sheriff side — gun-first duels, range control, angle-holding. Read the Sheriff Guide once you have won your first three casual duels.
  • Murderer side — knife-first duels, opener timing, dash-train combos. Read the Murderer Guide when you start queueing for 2v2 pads.
  • Hybrid / flex — most pad players end up here. Run revolver and Butterfly Knife, hold Dash for emergency, and rotate roles based on teammates.

Role choice is not permanent. The trade economy, the tier list, and your Battle Pass tier rewards are role-agnostic, so you can experiment freely. What matters is that you pick one focus during your first 50 duels — muscle memory builds faster on a single side of the round.

When you start trading

Once you have a few wins, the social hub opens up to player-to-player trading. Before queuing your first trade:

  • Read Trading Guide for the 64-slot inventory mechanics.
  • Skim Trading Value List to understand why we refuse to publish a snapshot value list here, and where the live numbers actually live.
  • Read Anti-Cheat for the report flow before you encounter your first scam attempt.

Most first-week players skip this section. That is fine — but if you come back later, this is the index.

First five minutes in the hub

When you load in, you spawn in a social lobby with duel pads, shops, and other players trading cosmetics. Do these steps before your first ranked-feeling queue:

  1. Redeem codes — Open Items (left icon or bottom bar) → Twitter or Redeem Code. Claim DANGO, Rad, PONY, and Pew Pew on the Codes page. STARS30 is unverified — try once.
  2. Equip a loadout — Select one knife and one gun you can actually swap between in fights. Free code weapons beat empty slots.
  3. Tune settings — Mobile players: Settings → Mobile for camera sensitivity. PC players: enable shift lock for cleaner knife spacing.
  4. Join Discord — Official community at discord.gg/weapon-duels for code drops and patch notes (no official Trello exists).

Your first duel pad

Pads are physical queue zones. Walk onto one, pick a team size, and matchmaking fills the arena.

ModeBest for beginnersWhy
1v1Learning aim and knife timingNo teammates to blame; pure mechanics
2v2Intro to coordinationOne partner, simple callouts
3v3 / 4v4After basicsAbility clutter and crossfire punish mistakes

Start with 1v1 until you understand when to knife and when to shoot. The Knife vs Gun guide explains range bands; the Controls guide covers binds and sensitivity.

Stars, coins, levels, and inventory

Progression has four pillars every new player should memorize:

  • Stars — Main soft currency for shop buys, abilities, and seasonal content. Farm via wins, dailies, codes, and Battle Pass Season 1 steps. See How to Earn Stars.
  • Coins — Parallel income stream; the 2X Coins game pass (129 Robux) doubles coin gains for regular players.
  • Level 50 cap — XP from duels unlocks shop tiers and signals experience in public lobbies.
  • 64 trade slots — Your inventory ceiling. Do not fill it with duplicates before reading the Trading guide.

Redeem DANGO and Pew Pew early so you are not grinding with an empty gun slot. Rad is a Mythic Outfit, not extra damage.

Abilities and shop priorities

Abilities are purchased with in-game currency (often referred to as gems/Stars in shop UI) and dramatically change duels. Community consensus ranks Dash as the best first buy for repositioning and dodging gunshots. Shroud suits ambush players; Weapon Buff helps win straight gun trades. Full rankings live on the Abilities tier list.

Spend order for new accounts:

  1. Code weapons (DANGO / Dango Gun, Pew Pew, Purple Pony)
  2. One mobility ability (Dash if affordable)
  3. One reliable knife + gun you will actually use
  4. Cosmetics and trade bait later

Maps and seasonal content

Twin Comets ships content quickly while the game is early access. Major updates include Aztec Part II (Runic) with a new Aztec arena and House map rotations. Map geometry changes which loadouts win — read the Map guide before blaming your aim for losses on unfamiliar lanes.

Battle Pass Season II Sea Serpent (3 Jul–23 Sep 2026) added sea-serpent-themed weapon skins with heavy visual effects. They are collectible and fun, but test readability in 1v1 before equipping heavy trails in ranked-feeling queues. See Season 2.

First-hour checklist

Complete this list on day one:

  • Redeem all active Codes
  • Run five 1v1 duels focusing on crosshair height
  • Claim daily/login rewards in the hub
  • Set mobile or PC sensitivity from Controls
  • Bookmark How to Play for pad rules and common mistakes
  • Skim the Weapons tier list so you know what is flex vs functional
  • Read Review for an honest take before buying Robux passes

Common beginner mistakes

Queueing 4v4 immediately — You will feed enemy teams Stars and tilt. Warm up in 1v1 first.

Ignoring guns — Knife-only players lose transitional range every time.

Using guides for the wrong game — Dueling Grounds uses parry-heavy melee; WEAPON DUELS uses pad queues and knife/gun swaps.

Hoarding code exclusives — Keep one copy of Purple Pony; trade duplicates later with value knowledge from Trading.

Exploiting or alt farming — Twin Comets states permanent bans with no second chances.

Where to go next

You now know which game you are playing, how to redeem rewards, and how to queue your first pad. Deepen skills in this order:

WEAPON DUELS rewards repetition. Treat each 1v1 as a drill, stay on verified wiki pages, and your collection will grow without confusing Twin Comets’ duel game with the rest of Roblox’s similarly named titles.
