WEAPON DUELS Map Callouts Cheat Sheet
Numbered callouts for Aztec and House so your team-mate can point and click without typing long location strings.
Why callouts matter
In a fast pad duel, typing “behind the pillar on the left near the bridge” eats half the cooldown window. Short, agreed-upon callouts - the kind Counter-Strike and Valorant players use - let you say “B2” or “Aztec Mid” and your team-mate knows exactly where you mean. WEAPON DUELS has no in-game ping wheel yet, so voice or short text is the only way to coordinate in 2v2 through 4v4.
This page is the cheat sheet we use internally while playing place 82983707799188. Pin it on a second monitor while you queue and your team will start sounding like a real squad in one evening.
Callout conventions
All callouts use one letter + one number:
- Letter = map area (A, B, C, D)
- Number = elevation or lane (1 = low, 2 = mid, 3 = high)
If your squad prefers different letters, pick them before the match starts. Locking the vocabulary up front is more important than the specific letters - any consistent scheme beats arguing mid-fight.
Aztec callouts
Aztec is the largest playable arena and the headline of the Aztec Part II Runic content drop. Use this table.
| Callout | Where | Use it when |
|---|---|---|
| A1 - Spawn ramp | Each team’s exit | Resetting after a lost fight |
| A2 - Mid pillars | Central platform with twin columns | Calling a knife duel |
| A3 - Outer ring | Elevated walkways around mid | Holding long gun sightlines |
| B1 - Lower bridge | Under mid, near the dungeon entrance | Warning about a flank |
| B2 - Plaza lanes | Open sightlines outside the temple | Asking for cover fire |
| B3 - Tower pad | Back path to duel pad spawn | Telling a friend to retreat |
| C1 - Runic accent pillar | New cosmetic landmark | Marking an off-angle ambush |
The full map walkthrough is on Aztec Map Guide. Callouts work best when paired with the lane table from that page.
House callouts
House is the older, tighter arena. It has shorter sightlines and rewards knife spam more than open gun duels.
| Callout | Where | Use it when |
|---|---|---|
| H1 - Front door | Main entrance off spawn | Calling a peek |
| H2 - Hallway mid | Central corridor with pillars | Knife-fight setup |
| H3 - Back window | High window behind cover | Long gun shot |
| H4 - Side alley | Short flank path | Catching a flanking enemy |
| H5 - Stairs up | Staircase to second floor | Reset point for vertical peeks |
| H6 - Cellar | Underground side room | Hiding during a 2v2 reset |
House is the easiest arena to learn callouts on because the layout is small. New players should run a few 1v1 rounds here to get the vocabulary down before jumping to Aztec.
Sightline rules
Each callout has a safe rotation angle. Cheating the wrong angle is the number-one reason 4v4 squads leak kills.
- Mid pillars - never peek the same side twice in a row.
- Outer ring - assume the tower pad is hot unless your team-mate called it clear.
- Front door (House) - peek the side closest to spawn first, then mirror.
- Back window (House) - only commit to the long shot if your team-mate is watching the side alley.

How to teach your team a callout set
A new squad usually picks up callouts in three matches if you follow this routine:
- Run one casual 2v2 with no callouts. Note which callouts would have saved you.
- Print or screenshot this page and share it in your team Discord.
- Run a second 2v2 with only the callouts from this page. Penalize yourself for typing long sentences.
After three matches, the callouts feel like second nature and you can layer in team-specific slang. Keep the table from this page as the baseline so you can always clarify when slang drifts.
Drills
- Callout race - spawn on Aztec, run from A1 to A2 to A3, and call each location before your team-mate does.
- Blind trade drill - on House, take turns peeking H2 and H4. The peekers only job is to call the contact location.
- Tower rotate drill - on Aztec, A3 -> B3 -> A1. Practice the rotation under pressure with a friend holding mid.
Drills pair best with the loadout pages under the Players hub.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Does WEAPON DUELS have a ping wheel?
No. The 2026 build does not expose an in-game ping wheel. Voice chat and short text callouts are the only way to coordinate.
Which map is best to start learning callouts on?
House. The arena is small and the six core callouts cover every rotation. Move to Aztec once your squad uses House callouts without thinking.
Can I customize the callout letters?
Yes. The A/B/H convention here is a wiki default; use any letter scheme as long as your squad agrees before the match.
Are callouts useful in 1v1?
Mostly no, but you still benefit from naming your own position so post-match VOD review makes sense.
Where can I practice without ruining ranked?
Use a private server. See the Private Server guide for setup steps.
Do top players share their own callout sets?
Yes - the verified Discord has community channels where captains post their team sheets. See the Community page for the right channel.
