What a private server actually is

A WEAPON DUELS private server is a Roblox-hosted instance of place 82983707799188 that only the people you invite can join. It uses the same map pool, the same economy, and the same anti-cheat as public servers - the only difference is the door policy. Private servers are useful for practice, content creation, and tournament runs, but they are not a separate game mode.

If you saw a video titled “private server only mode” or “VIP duel code,” that is misleading content. There is one game; the door stays open or closed. This page documents what the lobby settings actually do.

Cost and how to buy

You need a recurring Robux subscription to host. Pricing is set by Twin Comets and Roblox takes a platform cut.

PlanRobux/monthWhat you get
Monthly private server10 Robux (Roblox fee) + Twin Comets feeLobby control, friend invite, custom name
Lifetime upgradeNot available in 2026-
Group private serverVaries by group rankOnly available to verified Twin Comets group members

The exact Robux total fluctuates with Roblox pricing tiers, but expect roughly 10-25 Robux per month. Free trial codes have appeared briefly during major patches; redeem them from the verified Discord before they expire - see the Codes page.

How to start a server in 5 steps

  1. From the WEAPON DUELS game page, click the three-dot menu next to the green Play button.
  2. Choose Create Private Server (or Buy if Roblox asks for confirmation).
  3. Set a name, then toggle Allow Friends of Friends if you want a wider net.
  4. Confirm with your PIN or two-step authentication.
  5. Share the join link from your Roblox inventory or via the verified Discord.

Most users finish the flow in under two minutes. The server appears in your Roblox inventory and on the in-game lobby server list under My Servers.

Settings that actually work

Inside the lobby, the host can adjust a small set of toggles. Twin Comets has not added a public admin console, so the list is short on purpose.

  • Friends Only - restricts joins to your Roblox friends list.
  • Group Only - restricts joins to a single Roblox group; useful for clan scrims.
  • Public Toggle - flipping this on briefly makes the server public. Use it for a 10-minute tournament, then turn it off again.
  • Server Region - choose the closest data center for low ping. Avoid leaving it on Auto if your team is on a single continent.
  • Max Players - capped at the game’s natural lobby size, but lowering it speeds up queue waits.

There is no working “force start” or “skip warmup” command despite what some guides claim. Commands that show up in Discord screenshots are either faked or patched out.

Admin commands: what we have verified

WEAPON DUELS does not expose a built-in admin chat. The closest thing is the /e emote wheel plus a handful of context-aware shortcuts that exist in private builds only. Treat any “command list” floating on script blogs as unverified.

What you can do reliably:

ActionHowNotes
Kick a playerRoblox server menu -> Manage -> Remove UserHost only
Reset matchWait for current duel to finish, re-queue padNo instant reset
Toggle crosshair settingsIn-game Settings -> Mobile or ControlsStored per account
Lock cosmetic loadoutsNot exposed in 2026 buildsOpen request on Discord

If a script blog claims /kill, /tp, or /give work in this game, that is a fake clip from MM2 or Rivals. WEAPON DUELS does not have those commands.

Private vs public: when it actually matters

Private servers are great for:

  • Practice duels with a fixed team-mate without random toxic lobbies.
  • Content creation where you need a clean spectator camera.
  • Tournaments where the host needs kick control.
  • Testing a Best Loadouts change without disrupting your ranked pace.

Public servers are usually better for:

  • Daily match XP toward the How to Earn Stars loop.
  • Code-drop windows where you need any random lobby to complete a challenge.
  • Leaderboard climbs, since private server wins do not count toward the global board.

If you only need a quiet place to grind a badge, queue solo in low-population hours instead of paying for a server - see Pro Lobbies for the lobby etiquette rules.

Common mistakes

  • Buying a private server thinking it unlocks exclusive weapons. It does not. Cosmetics and items come from the Codes page, the Battle Pass, or the in-game shop.
  • Sharing the invite link publicly on Twitter or TikTok. Public servers that blow up are sometimes flagged for review, and a small share of hosts lose access to their instance.
  • Forgetting to turn off the server before renewing. Roblox auto-renews even when the server is empty. Cancel from your Roblox inventory if you take a break.
  • Using an alt account to host a second instance. Roblox disallows multi-account hosting on the same game and may revoke both subscriptions.
  • Pro Lobbies - title prefix etiquette and ranked rules.
  • Getting Started - first-hour setup before paying for any server.
  • Codes - Robux-free alternatives if the cost is steep.
  • Community - verified Discord where private server drops are usually announced.
  • Best Loadouts - builds worth stress-testing in your private pad.
FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How much does a WEAPON DUELS private server cost?

About 10-25 Robux per month, split between the Roblox platform fee and the Twin Comets game fee. Free trials have appeared during major patches.

Do private server wins count for leaderboards?

No. Global leaderboards only count matches played on public servers.

Can I run admin commands in a private server?

There is no public admin chat. The host can kick players via the Roblox server menu. Commands like `/kill` or `/tp` do not work in this game.

Does a private server give free Robux items?

No. It only changes who can join. Items still come from the in-game shop, codes, or the Battle Pass.

Can my friends join without paying Robux?

Yes. The host pays the subscription; invited players join for free as long as the door is open.

Will my private server survive a game update?

Yes. Major patches keep your instance running, though the host may need to relaunch the lobby once after a hotfix.
