It is a limited drop ranged weapon with a pancake-themed visual and an explosive projectile, released as part of the post-Sea Serpent live-ops cycle. The first verified unboxing clips (from creator klu) landed in late summer 2026, and the wiki has now mapped what the weapon does, how it fits in the Weapons tier list, and where to buy or trade it. The Pancake Cannon is a single-shot ranged weapon with the following properties based on wiki pad test logs and creator footage:

What makes the Pancake Cannon different

The Pancake Cannon is not a Sniper and not a Revolver. It sits in the mid-range AoE niche that no other weapon in the current shop rotation fills cleanly. Three things make it stand out:

1. Small AoE on impact. Unlike the Sniper (single-target) or the Revolver (single-target), the Pancake Cannon’s projectile explodes on contact. One shot can damage two enemies stacked in a choke point.
2. Mid-range sweet spot. Most guns in the rotation are either close-range panic weapons or long-range snipers. The Pancake Cannon sits in the band that most 2v2 and 4v4 fights actually happen in.
3. Loud firing sound. The firing sound is distinctive. Once an enemy hears the “thwap”, they know exactly where you are. This is a disadvantage in long duels and an advantage in ambush plays.

Together, these three properties put the Pancake Cannon in the A-tier niche on the Weapons tier list. It is not the best weapon in the game, but it is the best weapon for mid-range team fights.

Where to find the Pancake Cannon

The Pancake Cannon entered the rotation through a limited drop. There are three verified sources:

Loadout pairings

The Pancake Cannon pairs best with weapons and abilities that complement the mid-range AoE niche. Three loadouts cover most pad formats:

Loadout A - Pancake Cannon + Knife (the 1v1 hybrid)

This loadout is the cleanest 1v1 kit for players who want range control with a knife panic button.

• Primary: Pancake Cannon
• Secondary: Knife (free starter or PONY from Codes)
• Ability: Dash

Play pattern: hold mid range, fire the Pancake Cannon to force the enemy to dodge, then Dash in for a knife throw when they commit to a reload. The combo lives on the Ability Combos page.

Loadout B - Pancake Cannon + Revolver (the 2v2 anchor)

This loadout is the safest 2v2 anchor kit. The Revolver covers close-range threats; the Pancake Cannon clears mid-range chokes.

• Ability: Weapon Buff

Play pattern: anchor mid range, fire the Pancake Cannon on grouped enemies, switch to the Revolver for any enemy that closes inside 8 studs. Weapon Buff stacks with the Revolver for the close-range backup trade.

Loadout C - Pancake Cannon + Sniper (the 4v4 mixed-role)

This loadout is the most flexible 4v4 kit for a player who wants to flex between sniper lanes and mid-range chokes.

• Primary: Pancake Cannon
• Secondary: Sniper (requires the Sniper game pass - see Game Passes tier list)
• Ability: Shroud

Play pattern: take the mid-range lane first (H2 Mid in House, mid plaza in Aztec), fire the Pancake Cannon to break the choke, then rotate to a Sniper lane if the round stalls. Shroud covers the rotation.

Pad-format playbook

1v1 Pancake Cannon

In 1v1 pads, the Pancake Cannon is a mid-range control weapon. Use it to force the opponent out of their preferred range band.

• Against knife mains: Hold 20+ studs. Fire the Pancake Cannon when they commit to a Dash. The AoE punishes the Dash.
• Against sniper mains: Close to 12-18 studs. The Pancake Cannon out-DPS the Sniper at mid range.
• Against revolver mains: Match their range. Both weapons win on aim - the Pancake Cannon’s edge is the AoE.

2v2 Pancake Cannon

In 2v2 pads, the Pancake Cannon is a choke control weapon. Use it where two enemies are likely to stack.

• House H2 Mid: Fire down the staircase when two enemies commit to a push.
• Aztec mid plaza: Fire into the choke where the outer ring meets the plaza.
• Aztec interior temple: Fire into the temple door when two enemies push in.

Pair this with the Map Callouts shorthand so your teammate can call the choke you are holding.

4v4 Pancake Cannon

In 4v4 pads, the Pancake Cannon is a lane-clearing weapon. One shot can force a stack of enemies off a lane.

• House H4 Upper to H2 Mid: Fire down the staircase when three or four enemies try to push up.
• Aztec outer ring: Fire into the outer ring choke to deny a Sniper lane.
• Aztec temple lanes: Fire into the temple door when the enemy commits a full push.

The Pancake Cannon is the best weapon in the game for breaking a coordinated push. It does not replace a Sniper or a Revolver, but it is the cleanest counter to a team that is stacking one lane.

Common Pancake Cannon mistakes

Five mistakes show up in most loss clips that involve the weapon. Fix any one of them and your Pancake Cannon win rate climbs.

• Firing at long range. The Pancake Cannon’s projectile travel time is too slow past 30 studs. Switch to the Sniper for long sightlines.
• Firing at point-blank range. The AoE damages you if the enemy is inside 4 studs. Switch to the knife or Revolver for close-range trades.
• Reloading in the open. The Pancake Cannon’s reload sound is louder than other guns. Reload behind cover every time.
• Doubling up with another mid-range weapon. Pancake Cannon + Sniper or Pancake Cannon + Revolver works. Pancake Cannon + Tactical Rifle overlaps and wastes a slot.
• Buying a second copy for trade. The Pancake Cannon’s trade value has already dropped from the launch spike. Sell only if you have a buyer lined up.

These mistakes are the same on every map. Drill them in a private server before ranked queues.

How to spend Stars on the Pancake Cannon

Stars come from wins, dailies, and codes. Spend them in this order if the Pancake Cannon is your goal weapon:

1. Redeem Pew Pew, PONY, and DANGO first - free weapons save Stars.
2. Skip the Sniper game pass unless you already own the Pancake Cannon.
3. Buy the Pancake Cannon when it appears in your rotation. If it rotates out, check the trade hub.
4. Save Stars for the next Monarch Bundle if the Pancake Cannon is already in your inventory.

Pancake Cannon vs MVSD weapons

The Pancake Cannon does not have a direct equivalent in MVSD (Murderers vs Sheriffs Duels), Knife VS Gun Duels, or Dueling Grounds. The closest analog is the explosive projectile weapon in MVSD, but the damage profile, range, and trade value are different. Do not bring MVSD build advice to this weapon.
